The Story
Zenon Zamora
Zenon has been playing music since he was 5 years old. Growing up in a musical family, Zenon was exposed to various artists in multiple genres of music. After taking music lessons for two years, Zenon found himself a true student of music, studying musical theory, repertoire, and composition. By the time he was 15, Zenon taught himself piano, guitar, violin, viola, and cello, and studied other instruments associated with orchestral composition. Inspired by his surroundings and experiences, Zenon quickly fell into his own, in terms of writing style, creating a unique and easily discernible sound. He fronted various bands and musical projects over the years, but eventually his endeavors lead him to the creation of a project he called “CASCOVA”.
CASCOVA
The idea behind CASCOVA started when Zenon’s writing started to gear towards the synthetic as opposed to the naked and raw alt-rock he produced in the 2000s when he fronted the group Harlequin out of Albuquerque, NM. He wanted his music to be of orchestral quality, both in texture and in execution. As a result, Zenon started a solo project that would eventually become CASCOVA. Since that time, he has worked with brilliant musicians, including Maurice Meintzer, Chris Leyba of “Santa Mira”, and Jason Call who is currently running for Washington’s Second Congressional District. Musicial endeavors have run the gamut from composing a symphony, a series of concerti, and mainstream rock and electronica projects.
Instrumentation and vocals on all CASCOVA tracks are performed by Zenon Zamora.
